Volunteer Opportunity - May 10th at 10:00 am -
-- Volunteers no longer needed. Thank you for the help!
Volunteers are requested to assist the Township with a walkability audit to help us identify pedestrian areas in need of improvements. Each volunteer will be given a mapped area and a checklist of what to look for. They will be asked to note such things as whether sidewalks are missing, how wide existing sidewalks are, what condition they are in and if there are any obstructions like a light pole or overgrown shrubbery. They will also be asked to look at the presence and condition of crosswalks, curb ramps and pedestrian signals. If they have a smart phone, they will be able to take pictures that will go directly onto a GPS map.
This audit will take place on May 10 at 10:00am and will meet at School 4-5.
Interested volunteers can contact Sheila Carrozza at 732-602-6015.
