College Courses and Summer Camps in the Summer

If you are a high-achieving student and are interested in taking college courses in the summer, many schools offer summer programs for high school students.

Rutgers University is currently promoting classes to 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. Students must have a minimum GPA of a 3.0.Students can take up to two introductory-level college courses in a variety of fields. Scholarships are also available on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Visit Summer Scholars for details and to apply.



Middlesex County College also has a high school scholars programs for students interested in taking classes during the school year or the summer. Visit MCC High School Scholars Program for details and to apply.

Volunteer Opportunity - Fords Middle School Carnival

Fords Middle School Carnival is looking for student volunteers who would like to work on April 25, 2015, from 10-6. The carnival will be held at Fords Middle School on Fanning St. in Fords. The volunteers will be asked to run games, monitor blow ups, help with set up and take down, serve food, and for those that are interested in the creative aspect, face paint! If you are interested email Ms. Ogonowski at LAUREN.OGONOWSKI@woodbridge.k12.nj.us.

Middlesex On-Site Visit - May 13th


On Tuesday, May 13th at 9:30 am, Middlesex County College is having an On-Site Visit. If you are interested in applying, complete the application online, do not submit but print out. You will need to bring a $25.00 check or money order. If you wish to apply on the 13th, please see you guidance counselor for a pass.

Preparing for HSPA

On March 4th, 5th, and 6th, juniors will be taking the HSPA. Below is a guide and preparation booklet to give you an idea of what to expect. Tutoring is also offered throughout the week and on some Saturdays. See your guidance counselor for the tutoring schedule.

As a reminder, if a student has a cellphone on them during these dates, his or her test will be voided.

Volunteer/Club Opportunity - Students Helping Students Club

Mrs. Tulko and Mrs. DeVito will be starting a new club, Students Helping Students Club. By participating in this club, you will also have the opportunity to receive volunteer hours. Arts High


In case you missed the Arts High presentation, feel free to come down to guidance if you have any questions. The deadline to apply is November 15th. Auditions are held on Sunday, December 8, 2013.

Acceptance is competitive. Once applied, requirements for the auditions will be posted on their site on November 15th. 

If you are interested, be sure to visit their website and see the video of the school and instructors. Students accepted will attend on Tuesdays, between 1 and 4, starting January for about 14 weeks. They are excused from their fourth block class but are responsible for the work missed.
